Dreamwhisp (“Dreamwhisp,” “we,” “us”) builds a bedtime story app for families. We care deeply about protecting your privacy and your child’s. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. For details specific to children, see our Children’s Privacy notice.
Information we collect
- Account information your email address and, if you create one, your account name.
- Child profile details you providea first name, age, and chosen favourites (animals, colours, characters) used solely to personalise stories. We do not require a child’s last name, photo, or contact details.
- Content the stories generated for you and your library and favourites.
- Subscription & device data purchase status (handled by the App Store or Google Play) and basic technical data needed to run the app.
How we use information
We use your information to create and narrate personalised stories, save your library, manage your subscription, provide support, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.
How stories are generated
Story text is generated using a third-party AI provider and narration is produced by a text-to-speech provider. The personalisation details you enter (name, age, favourites) are sent to these providers only to produce your story and are not used to advertise to you.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the app (such as hosting, AI generation, narration, and payment processing through the app stores), and where required by law. These providers are bound to use the data only to provide their services to us.
Data retention & your choices
You can edit or delete child profiles and stories in the app at any time. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and promptly address issues.
